Dolly Rockits Intake Day
The date of our next intake day is confirmed as Sunday 24th March - the first Sunday of many for our new recruits. No matter your past skating experience, you are welcome to the Dollies - just bring trainers, a bottle of water and heaps of enthusiasm. Bring skates if you have them, but we can provide kit if you don’t. Hope to see you there!
The Dollies have just hosted the latest leg of Rollerbootique’s Coaching Tour with Juke Boxx and Ballistic Whistle.
Badges courtesy of our very own Diana Floors and Nitro Noush.
Run Kitty Run! (just over a week to go!)
Not long now until DRR hosts Rogue Runner and Kitty Decapitate for our Run Kitty Run bootcamp.
A few injured skaters have had to drop out, so there are a few spaces left - grab ‘em while you can!

The girl on the black and green background
Holly Sheet writes a blog post on the exciting news that we have been accepted as a WFTDA apprentice league!
The DRR B team, The Raggy Dollz will be having their first ever headline bout!
On Saturday the 17th of November they will be taking on the Portsmouth Roller Wenches in a different venue than our usual one, the Midlands Roller Arena.
Because it is a wedding themed bout, at half time we will be giving you the chance to marry your derby wife!
5 crazy dollies will be jumping out of a plane at 13,000ft on the 15th September in a sponsored skydive in hopes of raising some much needed funds for the league.
But they really need your help, even if its only a pound.
Here are their individual sponsor pages:
TIGER BAY BRAWLERS NEXT HOME BOUT!
There’s been a lot of talk about the home advantage helping our Olympic athletes to victory recently, but will that home advantage play a part in this rematch?
Our A team first met the Dolly Rockit Rollers on the track in Leicester in August 2011. It was one of the hardest fought bouts we faced last year, and saw us take the win by just nine points in a nail-biting bout with many lead-changes and power jam switches. Not ones to shy away from a challenge we’re taking on the Dollies on the flat track once again in October, but this time it’s in Cardiff!
We’re pretty evenly matched in experience, both having formed early in 2010. The Dollies held an impressive record for their inaugural bouting year, notching up nine wins and three losses.
This promises to be an unmissable bout with both teams gunning for a victory. We’re hoping to reclaim a home win following our defeat by Leeds back in July, and the Dollies will be fired up having been recently beaten by Birmingham’s Blitz Dames.
How will both teams fare? There’s only one way to find out….
Join us for live action-packed flat track fun on Saturday 13 October (from 6pm) at Talybont Sports Hall, Cardiff. Tickets are just £7 in advance and include entry to the after party. Under 12s get to watch us for free.
Online ticket sales coming soon so save the date; you don’t want to miss out!
